Some of the area’s restaurants pride themselves on the use of local produce which is abundant and fresh in America’ Grape Country. Try Sapore, The Stockton Hotel, or the Great Tree Inn’s Le Indaba for their use of local wine, vegetables, and fruits. Remember, if you see it on a fruit stand, like Yerico’s Farm, or have picked it locally (strawberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches, apricots, plums, apples, and blackberries!), the restaurants should be able to get it! Ask! In winter, small pancake places capitalize on the maple trees and the resulting late winter sugaring industry– try the Sugar Shack for their weekend pancakes and fresh maple and fruit syrups.
Indaba - pronounced "in-daa-ba". The term comes from a Zulu language word, meaning "business" or "topic". And the main topic at the Indaba is food!
